New 43

Taemin's POV

"Appa, appa," I opened my eyes to find Yoori shaking my arm, I pulled her with me and hugged her.

"I want to sleep," I softly groaned.

"Appa, don't sleep! Umma's back with a guy and she asked me to get you down,"

What? With a guy? I smirked, that's good Yeeyeon. You did a great job in leaving me.

-
I walked down the stairs and looked at the two who sat at the sofa.

"Hyun," I greeted and sat down opposite of them.

"Taemin, thank you," hyun said and placed his hand above Yeeyeon's.

I smirked, "No problem,"

"Yoogeun-ah, Yoori-ah, come," I motioned for them to come and turned them around to face the couple.

"This guy called Kim Jonghyun, is your appa,"

"My appa?" Both of them scratched their head,

"Yeah, due to some misunderstanding, we came to realise that he's your real appa," I softly said.

"So next time, call him appa and call me Taemin ahjushi like how you called Key ahjushi. Got that?" I smiled.

"No, kids, call him Taemin appa, you're not allowed to call him Taemin ahjushi okay," Yeeyeon warned, I turned to face her.

"Yahh, you'd raised them for five years, how can they call you ahjushi." Yeeyeon scoffed at me, I smiled.

"Okay fine, Taemin appa," I looked at the kids.

"Go over to your appa,"

I looked as the kids ran over to Jonghyun and crawled up to his lap.

"Ah, hyun, don't bother about your old flat. Just move here, we have rooms. Hmm, at the end of second floor there's one more room," I said and pointed to the stairs.

Jonghyun came and pulled me into a buddy hug, he slapped my back and sighed.

"Thanks buddy. I don't know how to thank you," he said.

"Just don't let Yeeyeon shed another tear," I whispered in his ear and he nodded.

"Have fun, I'm going to TM entertainment," I smiled and went back to my room.

-
Next day

"Taemin! Hyun oppa!" I heard Yeeyeon's yelling for us from the living room, I opened the door and walked down the stairs.

"What's wrong?" Yeeyeon held onto a newspaper featuring the three of us.

"What's this?" Hyun asked and snatched the newspaper away.

"The young entrepreneur (Kim Jonghyun) who came back from Singapore said to find his girlfriend but surprisingly his girlfriend is the wife of the CEO of TM entertainment (Lee Taemin)..."

Hyun read out what was on the headline.

"What the fuck?" I stared into space where suddenly my head started to spin.

"What the hell, this is why I hate the stupid reporters," hyun threw the newspaper onto the floor and dropped his ass on the sofa.

"What now?" Yeeyeon said, sitting next to Jonghyun.

"Just ignore them," I managed to say while holding onto my head. Ugh.

"Taemin what's wrong with you?" Yeeyeon walked over to me and tugged onto my arms.

"Nothing," I removed her grip.

"Why? I don't think it's the first time you're having a headache," she continued.

"Nothing is wrong, don't worry okay," I squeezed out a smile.

"Appa!" Yoogeun yelled from the kitchen.

"Neh?"

"Neh?" Both Jonghyun and I answered at the same time.

"Mianhae, I wasn't used to it," I softly said and walked back up to my room.

-
I closed the door and leaned against it.

Ugh, this freaking headache is gonna kill me someday.

Jonghyun's POV

"Neh Yoogeunnie?" I walked over to him and squatted down, I can't believe I'm a father of two. Oh my gosh.

"Appa, when is Key ahjushi gonna come back? He told me that he will be buying toys for me,"

"We're back!" The door flew opened, Key and Jessica walked in.

"Key ahjushi!" Yoogeun ran over to Key and he carried him up in one arm.

"Oppa!" Jessica saw me and immediately ran towards me throwing her hands around my neck giving me a tight hug.

"Oppa!! I missed you so much!!" She jumped up and down, I smiled,

"Yahh yeobo, be careful, you're pregnant," Key reminded and gave me a buddy hug after putting Yoogeun down.

"It's been so long," He said.

"Hey, since we are all here let's go out for dinner." I suggested,

"That's a good idea!" Yeeyeon squealed and I smiled.

I walked up to Taemin's room and knocked on the door,

"Yahh, let's go out for dinner," I yelled from the outside.

"Just go w-without me," he yelled back but he sounded weak. Am I thinking too much?

-
We sat around a round table and waited for the dishes to come.

Yoogeun took out a what-seemed-like-a-container-for-medicine bottle and attempted to open it.

"Yoogeun-ah, what's in your hand?" I asked.

"Ah, sweets," he said it innocently and I took the bottle from him.

"Yeeyeon, look," I handed it over to Yeeyeon and she took a look at it.

"Yoogeun, where did you get this?" I asked again.

"I took it from Taemin appa's room. I thought it was sweet so I took it without his permission, I don't think he will mind... Will he be angry?"

From Taemin's room? I frowned and looked at the adults.

"What's this doing in Taemin's room? It's for extreme headache and when I said extreme, it's really extreme," Yeeyeon said it firmly.

"Come to think of it, Taemin's having a headache just now isn't it?" I asked, Yeeyeon nodded.

"It's not the first time, from what I observed, he's having headache quite often," she frowned.

"And why didn't you ask?" Key cut in.

"I asked, he always replied the same thing: he's fine, don't worry," Yeeyeon replied.

"Let's just ask him later," I said.

-
"Yahh Lee Taemin," I knocked on his door with the adults behind me, the kids were back in their room.

He opened the door and stood rooted to the ground staring at all of us.

"What's wrong?" I walked towards him and held up the bottle of medicine in between my thumb and index finger.

"What's wrong?" I asked him back the same question.

His eyes widen when he saw what's in my hand, he smirked.

"What's wrong? It's just medicine for headache,"

Yeeyeon doesn't seems to believe what he said, she barged into his room and ransacked his drawers.

"What are you doing?" Taemin looked at her in disbelief.

Yeeyeon looked into the bin and dug out a torn envelope, while she's looking for the other half, Taemin grabbed her hand and pulled her away.

"Listen, don't come into my room and dig your nose into my stuff," Yeeyeon frowned,

"You was my husband, I have no rights?"

"Yeah I 'was' your husband, now I'm not," Taemin released his grip and snatched the half envelope back.

"What's that?" I asked, it must be something important and he's deliberately avoiding my gaze.

"Nothing, it's confidential. TM entertainment's matters," he said and crumpled up the envelope.

"I hope you're speaking the truth," I said and pulled Yeeyeon out of his room.

-
"And you actually believe that the envelope is nothing?" Yeeyeon scoffed at me, I frowned.

"Yeeyeon, I know Taemin more than you do. I've know him for like ten years. If he doesn't wants to say, he won't," I hissed and looked at Key, he nodded in agreement.

"Just look out and see how things goes,"
